加拿大安大略省依不同區域由不同教育局掌理，我們所住區域屬Peel District School Board，也有所謂的明星學校與普通學校之分，學區與台灣一樣依所住地址決定就讀學校。
一般人除公立學校外也可選擇私立學校或天主教學校，根據個人需求決定，在所謂regular program外，不同學校根據其所發展的特殊專業，設立不同的program供有特殊需求或領域的學生提供更深或更精進的學習機會與管道。
這樣的program，採申請制，不受學區的限制，有Arts、Sci tech、extended French、IBT program和IB program（International Bacculaureate，下次再介紹)等，應該就像台灣的數理資優班、音樂資優班，只是感覺上台灣的範疇與規模更小更精準些吧!
PC與P妹的學校grade 7 &8 即以IBT(Internation business and technology program)著稱，grade 9~12則於另一所high school辦理。該program為兩年制，學生於grade 6學期中就要提供前兩年的在校相關成績申請，它的課程在一般正常教學外針對business & technology提供更多元更廣泛的學習。
在PC&P妹學校，約有數班的IBT學生，他們來自各個地方，其中大部分是印度人與亞洲人，西方人很稀有，這也顯現了之前引起很大爭議的＂大學too asian" 議題，其實在國中或高中時就已逐漸成形。
PC&P妹來不及申請這樣的program，明年要上高中的PC因申請截止日前也才來加拿大三個月而已所以沒能申請到是非戰之罪，只有寄望在這裡完成grade 7&8的Ｐ妹可以拿出好的成績！

International Business and Technology
The International Business Technology (IBT) program builds on the traditional curriculum by providing students with a challenging program in all academic areas. Students enrolled in the program will explore subjects from a global perspective.
The IBT program's award-winning and innovative approach extends beyond the classroom to the real world. Since the program began in 1994, it has become a recognized leader in:
- business and entrepreneurial innovation
- the use of technology to support learning
- the development of positive student attitudes towards academics, personal management and teamwork
- providing students with lifelong learning strategies that encourage success
P mom 要writing good must be reading much， 所以一 但 reading 多了 vocabulary 就記多了，甚至用英英字典查單字的意義， 而且句型也可運用自如，不必想文法，這是我的經驗，我現在正在讀托福的文章，這些是我的經驗請參考。
